Richard Wochenske

Richard Wochenske, age 90, passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021 at Agrace Hospice in Madison. Richard was born July 6, 1930 in Green Bay, WI to parents Edward and Blanche (Craanen) Wochenske.

Richard was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Earlier in life, he served as a Catholic priest with the Diocese of Green Bay, and later a social worker at Family Services of the Fox Cities in Appleton. Outside of work, Richard was an impassioned storyteller, lover of words and verse, an avid golfer, runner, painter, Wisconsin sports fan, and volunteer for causes supporting people in need.

Richard is survived by his wife Betty; his son, Steven (Jolene) Wochenske and grandchildren Aurelia and Maddox of Oregon, WI; his daughter Joy Lewis and grandsons Owen, Cameron, and Aaron of Glenview, IL. He is further survived by nine stepchildren and their children and grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Gary Larscheid of Green Bay, WI and his children and grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosemary Wochenske of Green Bay, WI and her children and grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul Wochenske; his sister, Lois Larscheid, former wife, Darlene, and stepdaughter, Darla Dorow.

A private service will be held in Appleton, WI at Highland Memorial Park.
