Tonya Marie Schneider , Age 55
Tonya Marie (Platt) Schneider, 55, of Rock Springs, passed away at the Sauk Prairie Hospital on Sunday, June 4, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 9, 1967 to James and Cora (Phippen) Platt. She was united in marriage to Victor Schneider on Dec. 10, 1988.
Tonya worked for the Reedsburg bus company prior to her passing. In her younger years she milked cows on the family farm where she and Victor raised their children. In those years she was also a substitute teacher for Baraboo High School, a lifeguard for Baraboo Middle School and the Kalahari Resort and a member of the Baraboo theater guild. She loved being a Sunday school teacher and on the ladies aid; Tonya enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends, but most of all her grandkids.
Tonya is survived by her husband, Victor; sons, James (Amanda), Roy (Corisa); daughter, Maria (Adam) Yanke; grandkids, Keagan, Kailey, Khloee, Kaylee, Kayden, Sarah, Cora, Ruby, Laura, William, and Jacob. She is further survived by her sisters, Marla and Coreana Platt; nephew, Aiden Burrow; brother, Jason (Theresa) Platt; niece, Erica Platt; sister-in-law, Clara Hassanein; nephews, Sharif, Zak, Adam, Hassanein; mother-in-law, Eunice Sopher and great aunt, Ellie Schultz as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Sonja Platt and a father-in-law, Arnold Schneider.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 9, 2023 from 9:00 am-11:00 am at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in North Freedom with a service to follow at 11 am. Inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, North Freedom. The Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home is assisting the family.

My heart is with each and everyone of Tonya's family. We did so many crazy things but had a blast doing it. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone that needed it.
