With heavy hearts and in joyful remembrance, we announce the sudden passing of Lise Ann M Bidne at her weekend happy place in the Wisconsin Dells area.

Lise Ann was born in Montreal Canada to the parents of Andre Roger Lafortune and Joan Monica Dowd. She has a sister living in Montreal, two brothers Tony and Paul who predeceased her.

Lise Ann led a very active life in Montreal as she was a member of a dive team and qualified to try out for the 1976 Olympics. She played softball, volleyball, golf and tennis.

She joined the Royal Canadian Army in 1980 and served in Norfolk, Virginia based at the NATO Headquarters for 4 years. She met her first husband John Wernert and married in 1984. They had 2 sons together Kevin, who now lives in Waukesha and Michael who lives in Sun Prairie.

Lise Ann met Keith Bidne in 2006 and made their initial home in Middleton, WI. After many years in the Madison area, they moved to Baraboo, WI in 2022.

Lise Ann was a person that loved life to its fullest. She literally would give her heart and soul to anyone she thought need it for any reason whatsoever. Her kindness and generosity was obvious to all who knew her. Later in life she loved to play tennis but that ended due to a minor injury. She had two other passions in life, animals of all types, dogs, bears and moose! She also was a voracious reader as she spent many hours with her Kindle.

Her happy place was at the campground, she had 3 dear friends, Lori, Anne and Melanie that all adored her and she loved the dearly back. Lise Ann passed away at her happy place, but all too sudden.

The family of Lise Ann is eternally grateful for all the kind, loving and thoughtful sentiments of all her friends.

A time of gathering will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1 p.m.
