Patricia Gwendolyn `Pat` Tourdot , Age 94


February 17, 1930 --April 15, 2024

Patricia Gwendolyn "Pat" Tourdot, age 94, of Baraboo passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024 at St. Clare Meadows in Baraboo, with her family by her side.

 

Patricia, daughter of Frank and Edna (Frye) Phelps was born February 17, 1930 in Neillsville, WI. On September 10, 1947, she was united in marriage with Edward J. Tourdot at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

 

She worked as a head cook at Camp Gray, was an assistant manager at West Baraboo Grocery and also worked as a retail clerk at Budig’s Corner Drug. Pat and Edward were very involved with Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Vincent de Paul for many years. Pat and Ed bowled together for Ball & Chain bowling as well as at the Elk’s Club. She loved to garden, crochet, bake pies (especially apple), do jigsaw puzzles and spend time with family, especially her grandkids. Pat was known for her Badgers, Green Bay Packers and baby doll crocheted blankets; something her family is happy to have as a keepsake.

 

She is survived by her children, Dennis (Holly) Tourdot, Larry (Michelle) Tourdot, Gwen (Jeff) Kingston, David Tourdot, Linda (Todd Meyer) Porter, and Greg (Mary Alice) Tourdot; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived sister, LaVon Puttkamer, as well as in-laws, Johnny Wagner, Wallace Bradley Jr., Ed (Evelyn) Bulin, Bob (Donna) Tourdot, Mary Lou Tourdot, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

 

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 2015; her parents, her parents-in-law; six siblings, Clinton, Franklin, Lenore, Rosetta, Darlene and Robert; son-in-law, Mike Porter; and granddaughter-in-law, Alicia Tourdot.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Luke Powers presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Gray or St. Vincent de Paul. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Clare Meadows as well as Father Jay Poster and Msgr. Larry Bakke for their spiritual guidance and support over the years. Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
