Nancy May Luedtke, age 86, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, June 27, 2025. Nancy, daughter of Ralph and Hazel (Krueger) Haskins, was born on January 18, 1939, in Baraboo. She graduated from Baraboo Senior High in 1957.
Nancy married the love of her life, Lawrence “Larry” on June 25, 1960. Together they raised four children, Lisa, David, Michael, and Kris.
Nancy worked as a candy striper at St. Mary’s Ringling Hospital, a car hop at Carmen’s A&W, at Industrial Coils, teaching at an Adams County one room schoolhouse, and as a teacher’s assistant at Gordon L. Willson School, before she worked 23 years for the Inspection department for Servo Instrument Corp., making small parts, including parts for Sikorsky helicopters. She retired from Servo in 2002.
In her free time, when she wasn’t spending time with grandkids/dogs, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, embroidery, and crocheting. She was an avid reader and collector of baby dolls. She also enjoyed going to concerts and traveling. Nancy was a cub scout leader and 4-H leader. She bowled on teams at the Elks Club and Thunderbird Lanes.
Nancy enjoyed helping others. She made twirly dresses for many little girls and 100’s of mittens so no one would have cold hands. She entered her projects in the Sauk County Fair for 49 years, receiving almost 500 ribbons. For 15 years, in conjunction with the Baraboo Elks Club, she made gifts for Veterans at St. Clare Meadows.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry; four children, Lisa Campbell of Baraboo, David Luedtke of Baraboo, Michael (Chris) Luedtke of Neenah, and Kris (Jerry) DeArmond of Madison; 6 grandchildren, Jesse Luedtke, Dana (Wes) Bonin, Brittany Campbell, Kayli (Brad) Brennenstuhl, Trisha (Pete) Anderson, and Stacey Goodwin; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Terry (Dan) Zerfas; sisters-in-law, Diana Haskins, Lucie Haskins, and Karen (Mike) Indre; brother-in-law, Fred DeBauche; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant triplets, Jamey, Amy, and Wendy; brothers, Wallace Haskins and Larry Dean Haskins; and sisters, Linda DeBauche and Sherry Blaser.
The family would like to express a special thank you to SSM Hospice staff for the care they provided for Nancy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11AM at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home with Pastor Roxi Gnatzig officiating. Visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

I am Mike Haskins’ daughter Kelly. I have found memories of Nancy at family picnics. She was so crafty. She would donate her beautiful items to the picnic fundraiser. My brother spoke of the twirly dresses he bid on for his daughter. I know I have some of her creations too. Sweet lady. My condolences to her family.

I was saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. I have so many memories with the entire family. My mom and Nancy doing all sorts of sewing projects together among other things. I remember Nancy piercing my ears the old fashioned barbaric way. Potato, ice cube and HUGE needle all the while saying "you won't feel it" . I did trust me haha! Maybe they can find more trouble together in heaven! My condolences to the entire family at this time.

Larry and family, we are so sorry for your loss. It was always such a comfort to us as Brian was growing up to have you right next door in case he needed anything while we were at work. I loved all the patterns and the recipes that we shared. She was a joy to know.

Dear Larry, My sister Susan alerted me to your wife Nancy's passing. (She died on our mom's birthday.) Jim and Wilma were our parents. I always think of Lester, Olive, and Karen when I go past your brick house next to Harrison's. Sending sympathy from an old neighbor. Please greet Karen for me. We were a couple of the last to attend Butterfield School. Sincerely, Geri (Koenecke) Gorman
