Shirley was born October 9, 1931, in Stevens Point to Joseph and Helen (Cadman) Bruski. She met the love of her life, Lloyd, on April 9, 1949. They married on October 25, 1952, at St. Peter’s Church in Stevens Point. Together they had four children. Shirley worked many jobs throughout her lifetime. She is especially remembered for her time at the thrift store at Gardner Baking Company, where she was affectionately known as “the bread lady.”

After retiring from the Baking Company, she later worked at Land’s End into her late 70s. In her free time, you could find Shirley sewing, wine making, or in the kitchen baking. Shirley will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and love of nature.

Shirley is survived by her children, Deb (Ernie) Rodriguez, and Jim (Coleen) Nall; grandchildren, Nina, Adam, Alicia, and Randy; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene; brother, James; many nieces and nephews; as well as special adopted family member, David Walton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Lloyd; son, John; daughter, Ann; grandson, Robert; as well as 6 siblings, Dave, Bob, Sister Marie, Ted, Dick, and Phil.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dear Friends, We are so very sorry to learn of Shirley's passing. We have been praying for her smooth and peaceful passing, and we pray it was so. Shirley was such a joyful spirit, always so kind, grateful and generous. She and I shared a love of nature, especially flowers. As the spring flowers bloom this year, I will think fondly of Shirley. She was a lovely and faithful neighbor and friend. We hold you in our prayers and in our hearts. With our deepest sympathy, Keri Olson and Larry McCoy
