Scott David Hall , Age 70

January 26, 1956 --May 12, 2026

Scott Hall, age 70, of Baraboo, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital with loved ones at his bedside.

Scott, the son of Kenneth and Virginia (Scott) Hall, was born on January 26, 1956. He grew up and spent much of his life in the Sauk Prairie and Baraboo area, graduating from Sauk City High School in 1974.

In 1979 Scott began his career as a Mechanical Apprentice, and further advanced by becoming a Wisconsin Certified Industrial Electrician. Over the years he obtained additional training in the areas of PLC operation, boiler maintenance, and became a certified forklift instructor for Humane Equipment Corporation, eventually retiring in 2013.

Scott found joy in life’s simple pleasures; by attending and/or hosting the annual Hall family holiday gatherings and camp out. Scott was well known by his close group of friends for hosting or planning an annual “Cheap Sunglasses” party.  The theme of the party originated from the lyrics “And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses” from one of his favorite bands ZZ Top and the song titled “Cheap Sunglasses”. He also was passionate about attending live concerts, listening to music, his collection 33 1/3 vinyl records, and cheering on the Packers to a win on Sunday.

He is survived by his loving soulmate, Kathy Wilson; sons, Gabriel (Susan) and Shane (Laura), five grandchildren, siblings Harlan “Skip” (Gerri) Hall and Kathryn (Darrell) Stumpf; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Virginia Hall; sister, Barbara Moody and brother-in-law, Marlen Moody, and nephew, Kevin Grauvogl.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date; announcement to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations for expenses can be made to the Hall Family or in person at the celebration of life.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate 5W ICU medical team at SSM Health St. Mary’s for the care and support given to Scott in his last weeks of life.
