John Austin Wagner
November 06, 1964 – May 14, 2026
John Wagner was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, in 1964 to Jack and Ellen Wagner. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and countless memories that will be cherished forever.
John graduated from Beloit Catholic High School in 1983 and spent his life dedicated to hard work, craftsmanship, and caring for animals. Whether building, repairing, or working with his hands, he took pride in creating things that lasted and helping wherever he was needed. His final years were spent working with the Laborers Union, continuing the strong work ethic that defined his life.
John had a deep love for animals and was happiest spending time outdoors. He enjoyed the peace and freedom that came with being outside and had a special connection with the animals he cared for throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ellen Wagner; his wife, Donna (Stout) Wagner; and his daughter, Jennifer Suckow.
John is survived by his sons, Chris Wagner and Tim Wagner; his sister, Mary (Eric) Stelter; his nephew, Brad (Martyna) Stelter; his niece, Molly (Tom) Pierce; his cherished grandson, Leo Wagner; and Tank, the pup that never left his side.
John will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the quiet way he cared for the people and animals in his life. He found happiness in simple moments spent outside and in the companionship of the animals he loved so much. Those who knew John will remember his steady presence, his independent spirit, and the care he showed in his own quiet ways. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to live on through his family, the stories they share, and the lives he touched throughout the years.
