June Adeline Neuman , Age 88

June 04, 1938 --June 07, 2026

June Adeline Neuman, age 88, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Oak Park Place.

June was born on June 4, 1938, at her family home in Fairfield Township, to Corwin and Marie Louise (Guse) Cline. She attended local schools, beginning her education at Durward’s Glen School and later graduating from Baraboo Senior High School.

On October 29, 1955, June was united in marriage to Roger Neuman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. They shared many years together until Roger’s passing on June 7, 2004. June spent her days raising her five children and throughout the years she worked at Industrial Coils, Pierce’s Supper Club, Devil’s Head, Shopper Stopper, Darrow’s Country Market, and most recently, The Barn Restaurant until her retirement.

In her younger years, she loved taking care of her horses. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. June was also a member of the Sauk County Homemakers for many years. June always brought the best desserts to the cookouts. She not only took care of her grandchildren, but also the neighbors' children, too. She will be remembered for always having one more gift to give before Christmas is over.

June is survived by her children, Mark Neuman, Karen (Bill) Cordes, Randall (Jody) Neuman, Julie (Tim) Capaul, and John (Janice Hill) Neuman; grandchildren, Micki Strampe, Drae (Kristin) Strampe, Tyler Ann (Dan) Buchanan, Trent (Sophie) Capaul, Adam (Joette) Neuman, Ethan (Haley) Neuman, Grace (Max Wilkinson) Neuman, Justine (Sam) Opperman, Justus Neuman and Jaxton Neuman; great-grandchildren, Seairra Mortellaro, Madison and Isabelle Strampe, Jackson, Penny, and Ivy Buchanan, Raley Neuman and Flint Opperman, as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; three sisters, Leona Harrison, Arlene Winchell, and Mae Condon.

Per June’s wishes, private services will be held. Burial will be held at a later date at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family, which will be forwarded to local organizations that June supported.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Park Place and her care team at Moments Hospice for all of their care and support.

Rather than mourn the absence of the flame, let us celebrate how brightly it glowed.
