KATHLEEN R. KOHLER


KATHLEEN R. KOHLER, BARABOOKathleen R. Kohler, age 86, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. Kathy was born on March 31, 1926 in the town of Scott, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Graack) Bortz. She was united in marriage to Le Roy Kohler on July 3, 1946 in Pardeeville.Kathy worked at Del Monte in Arlington and at Research Products in Poynette for many years. She loved planting flowers in the spring time and traveling with her family. She was known as a great housekeeper for family and friends. She will be most remembered for her feisty/go-getter attitude.Kathy is survived by her two sons, Calvin (Sue) Kohler and James (Abby) Kohler; one daughter, Victoria (Les) Schultz; eight grandchildren, Christine (Travis) Schmidt, Adam, Paige, Zachery, and Joshua Kohler, Thomas (Temple) Sutfin, Matthew Sutfin, and Heather Munch; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor and Mykena Schmidt, MacKenzie and Addison Kohler, Sean and Liam Sutfin, Jordan Deal, and Joslyn Munch. She is further survived by her dear friend of 25 years, Cletus Ring; two brothers, Tony (Mick) Bortz, Kenny (Dorothy) Bortz; three sisters, betty (Robert) Lester, Annie (George) Schepp, and Lillian (George) Grimsrud; sisters-in-law, LuAnn Bortz, Pauline Bortz, and Lillian Kohler; brothers-in-law, Orris Kohler, Roger (Bonnie) Kohler, and Bruce (Barb) Kohler; as well as many nephews; nieces; and dear friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Le Roy Kohler; four brothers, Freddie (Helen), Howard, Art, and Arnold Bortz; two sisters, Carol (Howard) Lang and Rose Roderick; one sister-in-law, Romona (Robert) Hartley; one brother-in-law, Irvin Kohler; two great-grandchildren, Cohen Schmidt and Desiree Kohler; niece, Sharon Bortz; and two nephews, Dennis and John Bortz.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
