Urk 'Butch' Prater

Urk 'Butch' Prater, age 69, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, following a long illness. Butch was born on February 17, 1944. He was a member of Laborers Local Union 268 and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping; and loved the outdoors.Butch is survived by his wife, Linda (Diske); son, Wade (Missy) Prater of Wisconsin Dells; daughter, Wendy Prater of Wisconsin Dells; three grandchildren, Sierra, Montana, and Lane; sisters, Rebecca (Doug) Jessie of Rock Springs, Brenda (Danny) Thomas of Baraboo, and Delphine Newman of Reedsburg.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Duana Lynn.Per his wishes, no services will be held.
