Margaret (Margie) A. Haase, age 70, of Endeavor passed away in the loving arms of family on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, after a long hospital stay due to a complexity of illnesses. Margie was born on February 5, 1943 in Chicago, IL to William and Margaret (Rosmis) Haase.Margie settled down in Cleveland, TX raising her 6 children and 3 step children while helping to run the family business- a towing company and radiator shop. In 1988, she and her daughter moved to Wisconsin to be near her mother and brother. Margie worked for many years at K-Mart in Portage where seeing her in a Santa hat at Christmas time and elbows deep in dirt in the garden shop was a welcome sight for customers. She also worked at Pierce's and Dollar Tree in Portage and ultimately retired in 2012, from her career in retail as a Cosmetic Beauty Advisor at Walgreen's in Portage; when her illness finally slowed her down.Margie enjoyed celebrating every holiday to the fullest, cooking, gardening, planting flowers, bird watching and watching the wildlife around her country home. She couldn't get enough of seeing photos of her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they grew up from afar back in Texas. She loved to send them gifts and cards just to let them know she thought of them often. When she was at home, her 2 dogs, Runtz and Ooshee, were never far from her side. She also loved traveling to Bayfield, WI where she spent time during her childhood at her parents' resort.Margie is survived by her children, Sherri Ford (Brian Schaaf), Bill Kimberly (Christina Jeffcoat), Jay (Kim) Kimberly, Eddie (Cindy) Kimberly, Roger Kimberly and Michael (Shiela) Kelly; she is further survived by her nephews, Randy, Pat and Dennis; and niece; Bobbi, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her mother; father; brother, John; and sister, Audrey.A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 5,2013 at 3 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage with Pastor Alan Boeck officiating. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 850 Armstrong St., Portage, WI 53901.
