Rueben Carl Garrels

Rueben Carl Garrels, age 88, of Baraboo passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. Rueben, son of Henry and Agda (Lindstrum) was born in Marshfield on Aug. 14, 1924. He was a graduate of Baraboo High School. After school he went on to be an auto mechanic and in is free time he enjoyed raising stray kitties.Rueben is survived by cousins, Mary Garrels and Doreen Kliefkin both of Pittsville; special friends, Reginald (Mardell) Briggs, Thomas (Doris) Dunbar, and Deb Stainback.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Heledine and an uncle, Albion Lindstrum.Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Dunbar officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
