Richard "Dick" Ramsey

Richard "Dick" Ramsey, age 78, of Baraboo passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Dick, son of Richard W. and Geneva (Powell) Ramsey was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Baraboo. On June 29, 1963 he was united in marriage to Donna Bolgrien in Portage. Dick worked as a mold polisher for Del Tool for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Baraboo Elks Lodge where he was active in their bowling leagues. Dick loved John Deere tractors. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, tending to his gardens and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He also kept busy by helping his family with various chores.Survivors include, his wife, Donna of Baraboo; three sons, Garth Henriksen of Rio, Steven (Richard Manthe) Ramsey of Baraboo, Kevin (Janelle) Ramsey of Baraboo; eight grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Amelia, Sydney, Jack, Hayden, Molly and Lucy; brother, William (Margery) Ramsey of Baraboo; sister, Penny (Archie) Brylla of Lake Delton; brother-in-law, Jim Bolgrien as well as other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie VanHoosen, brothers-in-law, Wallace and Wayne Bolgrien.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Emanuel United Methodist Church with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow the services at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
