Ricky Smith

Ricky Lee Smith, age 56, of Madison, formerly of Baraboo died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at UW Hospital. Ricky, son of August and Mary (Ketchum) Smith was born Oct. 12, 1956 in Columbus. At the age of 17, Ricky enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after many years of service to his country. He worked for over 30 years at Flambeau as a press operator and most recently worked at Kip Corporation in Madison.He is survived by his mother, Mary (Warren) Bidwell; brother, Bruce Smith; niece, Melissa Cronn; nephew, Almanzo Cronn; great-nephew, Xavier Cronn as well as other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his father, August; sister, Yvonne Smith-Cronn and his brother, Scott Smith.Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 6 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jonathan Tipton officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at the church. Military Rites will be conducted by the Baraboo Veterans Honor Guard. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Walnut Hill Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
