Wayne Dale Mueller

Wayne D. Mueller, BarabooWayne Dale Mueller, age 70, of Baraboo, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. Wayne was born on October 2, 1942 to Otto and Leona (Schara) Mueller in the town of Sumpter. He was united in marriage to Donna M. Cowles on June 12, 1965 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Wayne was a graduate of Baraboo High School. He was a dedicated dairy and beef farmer throughout his life. He also worked as a brick layer for many years. He was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Baraboo. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Club. Wayne was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, he also had a love for NASCAR, traveling, the outdoors, playing cards, and most of all family time.Wayne is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Michael Mueller of Fond du Lac and Marc (Andrea) Mueller of Baraboo; four grandchildren, Alexandra, Meghan, Maxwell, and Luke. He is further survived by two brothers, James (Yolanda) Mueller of Texarkana, AR, Allan (Mary) Mueller of Lake Delton; four sisters, Beldona (Warren) White of Lake Delton, Elaine Larsen of Elkhorn, and Janice (Wayne) Steinhorst of Oregon, and Betty Crum of Wisconsin Dells; as well as many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and dear friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Philip and Lorena Cowles; daughter-in-law, Nichol Mueller; brothers-in-law, Robert Hirsch, Thomas Larsen, and Richard Cowles.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. April 17, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Baraboo with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. Baraboo. Continued visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Burial will follow service in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Home Health United Hospice Care, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, or the charity of your choice.Wayne's strong faith carried him through many difficulties he faced throughout his lifetime. His courage, determination, and love of life were an inspiration to us all.
