Catherine G. Schulte


Catherine "Kay" G. Schulte, age 87, of Baraboo passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center surrounded by her family and friends. Catherine, daughter of Philip and Josephine (Zander) Bollenbeck was born April 22, 1925 in Pine Bluff. She was united in marriage to Milton Schulte; he preceded her in death in Nov. of 1967. Kay was a Girl Scout leader, a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of Daughters of Isabella. In her free time, Kay enjoyed participating in her card club and watching sports. She was in a bowling league for 20 years and a golf league for 10 years. At supper time she enjoyed her daily Brandy Manhattan.Survivors include her children, Richard Schulte of King, Steve (Melody) Schulte of Tomahawk, Sue Schulte of Hawaii, David (Pam) Schulte of Middleton, Pam (Andy) Sawall of Menasha; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Virginia Bollenbeck of Killeen, Texas; as well as nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton; brothers, Frank, Victor and Edward Bollenbeck; sisters, Lorraine Geraths, Florence Kelter and Bernadette Arneson.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the very Reverend Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home and at the church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. The Daughters of Isabella will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
