Susan Grassl


Susan 'Sue' M. Grassl, age 63, of Baraboo entered eternal life on Saturday, May 25, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born on Feb 10,1950, the daughter of Irvin and Lorraine(Dillingham) Jeske.After graduation from Pittsville High School, she married Raymond Grassl; they later divorced. She was most recently employed at Menard's in Baraboo. Sue was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an active volunteer at Circus World, and at the St. Joseph prayer shawl group. She was an avid Packer fan, proud Marine Mom, and enjoyed making afghans donated to charities.Sue is survived by her children; Ray Grassl, Jr. of Vesper, WI, George Grassl of Sun Prairie, WI, Mary Grassl of St. Louis, MO, and Michael (Lisa) Grassl of 29 Palms, CA; grandchildren Marc, Michael, and Julia of St. Louis, MO, and Joseph, Brooke and baby expected in 29 Palms, CA; siblings, Barbara (James) Weis of Stratford, WI, Michael (Karen) Jeske of Auburndale, WI, Steven (Donna) Jeske of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Marge (Don) Smith of Nekoosa, WI, Ed (Kim) Jeske of Pewaukee, WI, Helen Jeske of Nekoosa, WI, Chris (Ken) Winegarden of Friendship, WI. Sue is further survived by a cousin, Lou (Cindy) Simonds of Plover, WI; special friends, Mary and Tom; as well as numerous nieces; nephews; and many lifelong friends.She was preceded in death by her parents.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Baraboo with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service, at the church. Burial to follow service in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Baraboo.The family would like to extend a special 'Thank you' to Father Jay, Dr. Huen, and the staff at St. Clare Clinic and Hospice.   .
