Josephine Manix

Josephine 'Jo' L. Manix, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 28, 1921 in Clintonville to Courtney and Ethel Sherman.Jo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was devoted to her family. She was loved by everyone she met; she always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart. In her later years, she became an accomplished artist winning many awards and accolades for her art. Jo was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Baraboo.Jo is survived by her sons, Daniel (Belinda) Manix of Navarre Beach, FL, Barry (Pam) Manix of Baraboo; grandchildren, Damien (Shree) Manix, Sean ( Jen) Manix, Cory Manix, and Angie and Jeremy Hullett; great-grandchildren, Chase, Devan, Meghan, and Brody; as well as many other close family members, Laura and Phillip Papierz, June and Tony Streveler, and Nichole, Derek, and Logan Zoellner, and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Mathew D. Manix; her son, Michael S. Manix; and her grandson, Cavan Daniel Manix.Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Baraboo with Father Scott Seefeldt officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 1 p.m. until the time of service, at the church. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church of Baraboo.
