Margaret F. Wagner


Margaret F. "Marge" Wagner, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Marge was born on June 15, 1926 in rural Lake Delton to Harold and Florence Burkman. Marge graduated from Baraboo High School in 1944 and then worked at Badger Army Ammunitions Plant.Marge married Raymond Wagner on September 18, 1948 in Baraboo. Ray and Marge owned and operated the Borden's Milk Distributorship in the Baraboo area. They retired in 1979 to Cottonwood, Arizona with Wisconsin summers spent at Lake Redstone. Ray and Marge enjoyed traveling; their destinations included Mexico, Canada, Israel, Sweden, England, and many States. Marge was an active member of Emanuel United Methodist Church of Baraboo, The Gideon Auxiliary, Emanuel Fellowship and The Gals of '44.Marge is survived by her three children and their families: Tom & Cathy and their son Victor of Nashville, TN; Dan & Mary of Baraboo and their children, Nathan (Anna) of Mundelein, IL, Michael (Katie) of Highlands Ranch CO, Emily (fiance Easton Dreher) of Wisconsin Dells, David (Jenny) of Minneapolis, MN, Johanna (fiance Joshua Wilkosz) of Baraboo and Brian of Baraboo; and Cindy and Tim Tewalt and their children Peter and Elizabeth of Eau Claire, WI. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Kate, Matthew, Lia, Tessa and Charlie. Marge is further survived by 2 sisters, Doris Metcalf of Kenosha and Shirley Splinter of LaCrosse; and many nieces and nephews.Marge was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marion Erickson and Nancy Nonemaker and by her husband, Ray on November 30, 2000.Marge's great love was for her family, all of whom shall miss her dearly. Marge's endless hospitality will be missed by her many faithful friends. All who knew her have been deeply blessed by the beautiful and caring woman she was. Throughout all of life, Marge's Spirit yielded to the Lord and now it is He who has taken her home to be in His perfect care.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Avenue in Baraboo. Continued visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the church. Interment will take place following the service in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo. Memorials may be made to Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo or Gideon's International.
