Daniel Jordan

Daniel Jordan formerly Daniel Osmer, age 42, passed away on Monday morning, July 22, 2013, while held in the loving arms of his wife. Dan was born on May 21, 1971 in Virginia Beach, VA to Mariann Schulken, of Charleston, SC, and later adopted by Stephanny Strachan, of Baraboo. He was united in marriage to Ranie Ellynne (Breen) Jordan on Dec. 31 2005, and later sealed in Eternal marriage in the Colombia, SC Temple on Feb. 7, 2009.Through the years, Dan worked doing a variety of interesting things, including supporting his family delivering pizza, but his greatest love was for CNC machining. With his engineer mind, Dan was continuously thinking of ways to help others improve how things were done- from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Always ready to help another, he selflessly thought of others before himself- even at the end of life. If asked what his most prized possession was, he would've emphatically exclaimed that it was his large family and many friends. He loved his family and friends dearly! Dan loved more, lived more, and served more, in 42 short years, than many have ever in an entire lifetime. His Faith is what kept him strong and it was what positively influenced anyone who knew him. He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many.Dan is survived by his wife, Ranie; and his precious children, Austin Daniel, Abigayle Elise, and Annabelle Faith Jordan. He is further survived by many dear relatives and amazing friends.He was preceded in death by his infant son, David Matthew Jordan; as well as other dear-to-the-heart family members and friends.A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 813 Iroquois Circle, Baraboo.
