Arlene Marquardt

Arlene Marquardt, age 94 of Baraboo died on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. Arlene, daughter of William and Anna (Bohnsack) Miller was born Feb. 27, 1919 in Sauk City. She was united in marriage to LaVern Marquardt; he preceded her in death in 2007. She was employed by Northern Engineering for 35 years until her retirement. In her free time, Arlene enjoyed cooking, crafting, reading and visiting friends and neighbors.She is survived by, her daughter, Carla (Charles) Krohn of Reedsburg, son, James (Shirley) Marquardt of Baraboo; grandchildren, Michael (Shawna) Marquardt of Baraboo, Kevin Krohn of Reedsburg and Jody (Kevin) Dunse of Reedsburg; she is further survived by six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Marquardt of Fond du Lac as well as other relatives and friends.Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LaVern; brothers, Art, Melvin and Raymond; sisters, Mildred and twin sister, Irene.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. in Baraboo with Lay Speaker George Burgess officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Arlene's name to St. Clare Meadows Care Center.
