Dawn M. Pierce

Dawn M. Pierce, age 42, of Las Vegas, NV, died there unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. She was born in Baraboo, WI on March 6, 1971 to Ron and Nancy Pierce.She attended and graduated Baraboo Senior High School in 1989. She was active on the high school varsity tennis team and in the French program. After high school, she went on to attend Lawrence University in Appleton, WI from where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. She then moved to Los Angeles, CA to attend UCLA's graduate program in French. She worked at Baskin Robbins for many years in Los Angeles before moving to her home in Las Vegas.She is survived by her father, Ronald Pierce of La Valle, WI, her sister Michelle (Peter) Ruprecht, her nephew Collin Ruprecht, and her niece and goddaughter Anna Ruprecht, all of Superior, CO.She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Mudrak) Pierce.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Father Garrett Kau officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.Dawn was a wonderful sister, aunt, and daughter. She will be missed.
