Benjamin Joseph BrooksPassed away peacefully with beloved family at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at 27 years, where he saved numerous lives by becoming a heroic organ donor. Proud and loving father to Benjamin and caring husband to Kortnee (Becker). Devoted son of Janet and the late Todd. Much-adored brother of Jessica, Elizabeth, Melinda, Elliot, and Isabella. Further survived by affectionate grandparents Reginald and Margaret Brooks and Albert and the late Betty Becker, as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family. He graduated from Reedsburg Area High School in 2004, where he was actively involved in cross country and track and field. Ben enjoyed helping others by providing food and other community services to the larger Baraboo area. His life passions included spending time with his precious son and other family, gardening, fishing, and working on cars.Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5th from 1 pm to 3 pm and the funeral service will proceed at 3 pm at the Walnut Hill Bible Church, Baraboo, WI with Pastor Dave Hutchens officiating. Immediately following it, all are welcome at the burial service at the Walnut Hill Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
