Frank Tirjer, age 94, of Baraboo passed away Friday, December 13, 2013.Frank was born on October 18, 1919 in Deta, Romania. He married Emma Tischler on October 31, 1942 in Linz, Austria. He is a WWII veteran. Frank brought his carpenter's trade and family from Austria to Chicago in 1950 and moved to the suburbs of Broadview and then Hillside. He and Emma moved to Baraboo in 1994. He enjoyed working, gardening, dancing, putting together puzzles, crafts and laughing and will be missed by his family and many friends. Frank is survived by his wife of 71 years, Emma; son, Robert (Nancy) of Edgerton, WI; son, Herb (Laura) of Glendale, AZ; daughter, Fran (Greg) Befera of Baraboo; grandchildren, Vanessa (Rick), Rebecca (Adam), Bobby (Linda), Danielle, Jennifer, Missy, Shannon, Natalie (Chris), Joe (Melissa), Michael, Chris, Lindsay (Bobby); and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mathilde; and his younger brother, Joseph.A celebration of mass of Frank's life will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Baraboo on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11am. Visitation will be held from 10am until the time of mass. Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
