Norma A. Aylsworth


Norma Anna Aylsworth, age 86, of North Freedom passed away December 13, 2013 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. Norma, daughter of Edward and Hazel (Mularkey) Burkman was born on January 20, 1927 in Briggsville.She was united in marriage to Warner C. Aylsworth on December 22, 1945 in Briggsville. Norma ran her own restaurant called Norma's Nook. She was also a medical technician for St. Clare Meadows. She was a long standing member of North Freedom Methodist Church. Norma enjoyed her family, gardening, music, and big cats. She loved to write cards to all of her family members.Our mother showed her family a deep unconditional love! No matter what each of us faced in our lives, she would encourage us to never give up. She taught us to share what you have with family and friends. She would always be there no matter what. She always had a smile, a kind heart, and love of life.She is survived by step-daughter Ermadel (Dean) Ludwick of Bettendorf, IA; children, Chuck (Linda) Aylsworth of Rockford IL, Ed Aylsworth of North Freedom, Bill (Terry) Aylsworth of Reedsburg, Harvey (Theresa) Aylsworth of Rock Springs, Lloyd (Charlotte) Aylsworth of Grand Junction, CO, and Hope (Dominick) Silvestri of Elmhurst, IL; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister Ruby (Fred) McNamer of North Freedom.Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Ed Burkman; husband, Warner C. Aylsworth; brother, Harvey Burkman and sister-in-law, Alice Burkman.Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at North Freedom United Methodist Church with Pastor Carol Quinn officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.
