Mary Elizabeth Keding


Mary Elizabeth Keding, 87, of Baraboo died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at her residence. Mary was the daughter of Lawrence and Edna Giebel, born on Oct. 2, 1926. On June 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to Eugene Keding in Baraboo.Mary was a homemaker, she liked to garden and can most of what she grew. For many years she helped her husband take care of their farm together. She truly enjoyed traveling, especially to see relatives. Some of her favorite past times were doing word searches, putting together puzzles, and playing games. She was a 4-H leader, a member of Exdell Homemakers, and a long time member of Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo. Mary is survived by her children, Karen (Tom) Peterson, Barbara Keding, and Mark (Leticia) Keding all of Baraboo; grandchildren, Traci (Jed) Crouse of Baraboo, Tricia (Kris) Rasmussen of Kansas, and Kayleigh Johnson of Baraboo; great-grandson, Andrew Crouse; her brother, Eugene Giebel of Baraboo; sister, Eulaine Kohlman of Sauk City; and numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the church. Burial will follow the service in St. John's Cemetery in Rock Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to a charity of your choice. Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
