Donald Stoll


Donald Gregory Stoll, age 86, of Baraboo passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Don was born on May 1, 1927. Don proudly served his country at a very young age, after many years of service, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Artillery Division. He was a graduate of the Chicago School of Engineering, and was employed as a civil engineer at Olin Corporation until his retirement. Don, along with his wife Arlin started their life together in Wichita, KS, where he worked for the Boeing airlines plant. Don and Arlin moved back to their home city of Oshkosh where he enjoyed sailing on Lake Winnebago. Together they moved their family to Baraboo in 1968. Don enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, and spending time at his cabin up north; which he named God's Lit'l Acres. He loved his dogs, especially his Irish Setters and his wife's Yorkie. Don is survived by his children, Gregory (Mari), Gail, and Matthew Stoll; grandchildren, Kelly (Brent) Henke, Kyle and Ryan Stoll, and Laura (Caleb) Klinge; two great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arlin in 1997; daughter, Susan; son, Jeffrey; brother, Dickie; and sister, Liz. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at the Redlin Funeral Home from 3p.m - 6p.m. Military Rites will be conducted by Baraboo Veteran's Honor Guard at 3p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh at a later date.
