Kathleen "Kathy" S. Labeots, age 71, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at her home in Baraboo. Kathy, daughter of Richard and Marion (Nye) Wittl, was born on November 27, 1942. She was united in marriage to John Labeots, Sr. on June 15, 1960 at Our Lady of Knock in Calumet City, IL. Kathy recently retired from St. Clare Center as a patient care assistant. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she helped teach catechism and put together bulletins. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing scrabble. She was well known as the "star garage saler". She also liked her visits to Walmart, playing cards, crafting, and listening to Elvis. Her greatest joy was her family. Kathy is survived by her husband, John Labeots, Sr.; three sons, John (Lucinda) Labeots, Jr., Chris (Cheryl) Labeots, Tim (Robin) Labeots; six grandchildren, Kenneth (Bridget) Labeots, Jessica (Fiance Adam Chester) Labeots, Nick Labeots, Jake Labeots, Brandon (Rachel) Labeots, Joe (Fiance Katie Juran) Labeots; three great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Liberty, Bentley, and two due to come this summer; brother, Richard (Gloria) Wittl; sisters, Theresa (Tom) Stedman, Laura (Roger) Williams. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Walter and Stella Labeots; brother-in-law, Wally Labeots.Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 1:00pm, at the Redlin Funeral Home, with Father Garrett Kau officiating. Visitation will be held at 12:00pm until the time of service.A special thank you to all of her co-workers at the St. Clare Center, her Card Club Ladies, and the staff at Agrace Hospice for their care and compassion.
