Lois Elaine (Kluender) Small passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Artesian Living Assistance Center in Baraboo. Lois was born to Henry R. and Henrietta I. (Schultz) Kluender in Baraboo on March 20, 1944. She was a graduate of Baraboo Senior High School class of 1961. She married Donald Leroy Small on Nov. 17, 1962 in Baraboo. Together they had four children, Laurie (Tim) Boyce, Linda (John) Zipsie, Donald (Lisa) Small, and Daniel (Roxanne) Small. Many knew her from Baraboo K-Mart, she was employed there for 30 years. She was active in Girl Scouts and 4-H. She also loved teaching Sunday School at Emanuel United Methodist Church.Lois is survived by her daughter, Laurie; two sons, Donald and Daniel; her grandchildren, who she loved so much, Cortney and Brendan Boyce, Drew Toman, Laura, Cody, Adam, and Aurienne Small, Jordan, Megan and Noelle Small, Elizabeth, Michael, and Kathryn Zipsie; two brothers, Eugene (Ruth) Kluender and Robert (Carole) Kluender. She is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Zipsie; and her two sisters, Marie Owens and Arlene Waddell. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. Baraboo with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
