Velma P. Tobias
Velma Pansy Tobias, of Baraboo, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at the St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. Velma, daughter of Lemard and Opal (Seely) Rockhill, was born on September 1, 1922. She was united in marriage to Charles Tobias on January 1, 1941 at Church of God in West Baraboo. Velma enjoyed supporting local missions to aid in helping children around the world. She was also a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She had a very strong faith and loved to attend New Life Community Advent Christian Church in Baraboo. She is survived by three sisters, Thelma Capps; Edith White, both of Baraboo; and Wanda (William) Terry of Lime Ridge. Velma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; six brothers; and three sisters. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Redlin Funeral Home, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. Graveside Services will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:30am at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona, with Reverend James Pauley officiating.
