Robert "Bob" Skogquist
Robert "Bob" Skogquist, passed away at the age of 91 in Baraboo, Wisconsin with his family by his side. He was born in Gladstone, MI, but NE Minneapolis (Columbia Heights) MN was his home and where he raised his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, and his son, Mark.Bob proudly served in the Marines during WWII in the Pacific. He worked and retired from the Soo Line Railroad and the Soo Line Credit Union. He also served the Falldin American Legion Post 555 for many years as a member and as Commander.Bob is survived by his two daughters, Mary (Harlan) Knoop, Kristine (Glenn) Skogquist-Walsh; three grandsons; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He lived a long and good life and made many positive contributions. We will remember and celebrate his good nature, his great sense of humor and his achievements. He will be deeply missed by his family and his large circle of friends. He loved jazz, big band music, golfing with his friends and spending time with family. He was loved by many. His family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the wonderful nurses, aides and staff at Meadow Ridge Assisted Living and to his entire Hospice team and Dr. Kling for their daily loving care and kindness during his time at Meadow Ridge. We are truly appreciative of everyone including the residents and friends he has made while in Baraboo.A private family service will be held at a later date.
