Terry R. Cejka


Terry R. Cejka, age 66 of Baraboo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at St. Clare Hospice House. Terry, son of Robert and Betty (Howell) Cejka was born Sept. 13, 1948 in Prairie du Chien. He attended three years to Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien and graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 1966. Terry then went on to earn his Associates Degree from MATC- Madison in Electronics. On Nov. 18, 1967 he was united in marriage to Hazel Gilbertson at St. John's Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Baraboo Jaycees, Knights of Columbus, Baraboo Elk's Club, Baraboo Country Club, Eagles Club in Prairie du Chien, and Owl's Club. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, bowling, golfing, fishing, traveling and being with his family and many friends. Terry started his own electronic shop called Audio Clinic in Madison. In 1976 he and Hazel moved to Baraboo and he then owned and operated Leisure World in Baraboo. He finished his working career at Madisound Speakers in Middleton.Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Hazel; sons, Todd (Susan) Cejka and Tim (Tara) Cejka; mother, Betty Cejka; mother-in-law, Helen Gilberston; grandchildren, Benjamin, Logan, Matthew, Hunter, and Reagan Cejka; siblings, Charlene (Don) Roh, Tom (Karen) Cejka, Debbie (Jerry) Austin, and John (Penny) Cejka; god-daughters, Angela Foley and Shelly Brummel; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cejka; brother, Robert "Bobby" Cejka; and father-in-law, Tilman Gilbertson.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 at Redlin Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church.
