Lorna M. Brecka age 89, of Baraboo passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Our House Assisted Living in Baraboo. Lorna was born the daughter of Frederick and Louise (Waters) Zuch on November 1, 1925 in Township of Greenfield. She was united in marriage to Edward "Ed" Brecka on Aug. 16, 1947 in Greenfield Township.Lorna was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo and was a very active member of the Ladies Aid. Lorna was also a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW Post 2336. Lorna spent her working career with Schultz Brothers for over forty years and Wal-Mart for over ten years. Lorna enjoyed spending time with her family and travelling. Lorna is survived by her sons, Gene (Patti) Brecka of Reedsburg and Gary (Nancy) Brecka of Altoona; six grandchildren, Tanya (Chris) Sulik, Erin Brecka, Allison (Ty) Novak, Travis (Tracie) Brecka, Tanner Brecka, and Tiffany Brecka; great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Eleanor, Talon, Jaxon, Drake, Titan, Reece, and Hayden; as well as special nieces, Sue Johnson and Nancy Jenewein; and special friend, Jeanne Sheppard. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ed; two sisters, Gladys Farnsworth and Dorothy Adams.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo with Pastor Carl Schroeder officiating. Visitation with be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service, at the church. Burial will follow services at Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
