Ila Elizabeth Prindle, age 89, of West Baraboo passed away on Tues, Feb. 3, 2015 at her home. Ila was born on Jan 25, 1926 in Lake Delton to William and Jennie (Rodwell) Dowd. She was united in marriage to Elmer Eugene Prindle, Jr. on July 26, 1944 in Baraboo. Ila attended school in Lake Delton. Her working career included the McArthur Hammock Factory and the Alpine Restaurant both in Baraboo; she also cared for the elderly in their homes. Ila had been a member of the Baraboo Seventh Day Adventist Church, and assisted on the West Baraboo Community Action Committee. Ila is survived by her children, Joan (David) Sheffer of Oswego, Il, Linda (Harley) Putman of Baraboo, Jerold Prindle of West Baraboo, and Joyce (Fred) Paige of Saratoga Springs, NY; as well as 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. Ila is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relative; and friends. She was preceded in death her parents; husband, Elmer; her sons, Dennis Howard, James Eugene, and David Joseph Prindle; sister, Ruby Jean (Bill) Decot; half-brothers, David and Donald Moon; brothers-in-law, Paul Sherwood and Elmer Schultz; as well as a grandson, Michael Flemming.Funeral Services will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave, Baraboo with Pastor Nestor Soriano officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Continued visitation will take place from 1:00pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to the family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Home Health United Hospice, Continuous Care, especially Kristine Johnson for their wonderful care, compassion, and all their love and prayer.
