Marjorie “Marge” Amelia Zimmerman


Marjorie "Marge" Amelia Zimmerman, age 88, of Baraboo passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Oak Park Place.Marjorie, daughter of Ernest and Myrtle (Leatherberry) Klemm was born on Jan. 16, 1927 in Baraboo. She graduated with the last graduating class from North Freedom High School. She was united in marriage to Leo Zimmerman on Aug. 15, 1948 at Devil's Lake State Park. Marge ran an in-home daycare for over 40 years and will be fondly remembered as "Mrs. Z". She was the Baraboo-Parshall-Cummings Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 2336 Treasurer for 36 years. Marge was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. She was an avid Brewers, Packers and NASCAR fan.Survivors include her children, Steve (Kay) Zimmerman, James (Rita) Zimmerman, Patricia (Michael) Luck, Richard Zimmerman, Janelle (Greg) Stebler; grandchildren, Nicole Zimmerman, Bret Luck, Anthony, Jennifer, and Ashley Deitrich, Amber and Daniel Stebler; great-grandson, Kash Zimmerman; brothers, Virgil Klemm, Phil (Mary) Klemm; sister, Betty Meyers; son-in-law, Craig Deitrich, as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathleen Deitrich; grandson, Ben Dietrich; and her brother, Robert Klemm.Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Carl Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Oak Hill in North Freedom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or School.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Oak Park Assisted Living as well as Home Health United Hospice.
