Michael "Big Mike" D. Kubiniec, Sr. "DUCK" passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Mike, son of Stanley and Aldina (Ruscito) Kubiniec was born April 30, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. On March 22, 1973 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Mike was a proud Vietnam veteran who traveled the world. He was honorably discharged in 1976. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, volunteering with the Boy Scouts and participating in Native American Ceremonies. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, and Disabled Veterans of America. Survivors include his children, Michael D. Kubiniec, Jr., Christopher Kubiniec and Renee Kubiniec; siblings, Barbara Mares, Larry Kubiniec, Richard (Judy) Kubiniec as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI where Military Rites will be conducted.
