Carol spent a lifetime enjoying dancing, from her youth to her last dance with her family in January of 2015. She is now dancing with Rudy, as they did when together. It was difficult for her to ever pass a yard sale without stopping (and buying). She found great joy in looking for bargains at St. Vincent de Paul in Baraboo on a daily basis. It was truly her passion and joy to find a "score" for someone in her large extended family. Though our family is saddened by her death, we have no regrets for a long life filled with an immeasurable number of moments and memories that we cherish. Her journey with cancer this year did not "Beat Her", she Beat It!!Carol treasured many dear friendships in her lifetime: she served nearly 20 years as a lunch lady at East School; her honorary, adopted Munster family, Jan, Judy, and Kate; the love of her dear friend Teddy and her family, Arlene, Kim and Nikki; her wonderful family at the Four Star Restaurant who called her "Mama"; her many friends at St. Vincent de Paul who directed her to "scores"; staff and customers at Aldi; and the extended Luther family. The family wishes to extend our deep gratitude to her medical team including, Dr. Alissa Weber, Dr. James Heun, Megan, Madonna, Carmen, Linda, Diane, and Danielle (and all the rest) at the Dean Specialty Clinic whom she loved and trusted. You treated her like a "rock star" and she thrived this year because of your care. There were also so many individuals who her in good thoughts and sent her cards regularly -- thank you! A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave., Baraboo.
