David E. Borowski

David E. Borowski, age 78, of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at St. Clare Hospice House.Dave, the son of the late Anthony and Anastasia (Schlewski) Borowski, was born on August 5, 1937 in Milwaukee. He served in the United State Air Force from 1954-1958. Following his time in the service, he then married Ruth Petrick on January 14, 1967 in Waukegan, Ill. Dave was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth on October 20, 2011. They would have been married 49 years come January. He worked at both Briggs and Stratton and A. O. Smith in Milwaukee.Dave is survived by his children, Anastasia "Stacie" (Craig) Heckendorf and Jeffrey Borowski; two grandchildren, Nathan and Tess Heckendorf. He is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by several of his siblings and in-laws.A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm Noon on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave., Baraboo with Father Chris Gernetzke officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at the Rock Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation or memorials be made to the St. Clare Hospice House, 915 12^th St., Baraboo, WI 53913.The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the St. Clare Hospice House, the Baraboo VA and the William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison.
