Mary Kruse, age 88 of Baraboo passed away on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at Meadow Ridge Assisted Living. Mary, daughter of Manuel and Deolinda (Albuerqueque) Pina was born May 21, 1927. She was united in marriage to Carl H. Kruse on June 17, 1950, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Taunton, Mass. Mary retired from St. Clare Hospital as a CNA after working over 20 years. In her later years she also worked at Jack Young Middle School in the kitchen. She was a lifelong member of the Daughters of Isabella.Survivors include her children, Linda (Paul) Verderame of Florida, Susan (Darryl) Harris of Colorado, Diane Bolinger of Baraboo, David C. (Cindy) Kruse of Baraboo, and Judith (Todd) Greenwood of Baraboo; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, John (Sylvia) Pina as well as other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Michael; son-in-law, Phillip Haney; grandchildren, Scott Cormican, Kelsey Sue and Jordan Kruse; great-grandson, Trenton Wilson; as well as four sisters and two brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at church on Wednesday. The Daughters of Isabella will pray the Rosary at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery following the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Meadow Ridge Assisted Living and Agrace Hospice.
