Barbara A. Nimmow, age 71 of Baraboo past into eternity Friday, April 1, 2016 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. Barb was born in Chicago on Nov. 8, 1944; the first child of Fred and Pearl (nee Berberich) Long. She was united in marriage to Sigfreid Nimmow on Jan. 19, 1963 in Rock Springs. She had many talents and hobbies including cake decorating, roller skating, playing cards, sewing, needle work, crafts, photography and painting. She loved nature and spending time with family. Barb found joy in volunteering for various charities in her community. She retired from Farm and Fleet after over 20 years of employment.She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Sig; her loving children, Mark (Pam) Nimmow and Tammy (Randy) Wiederholt; four cherished grandchildren, John and Cassie Wiederholt and Joe and Seth Nimmow; as well as many nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet Long. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Nick Maglietto officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the church as well as on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Rock Springs Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
