Leland “Lee” Biastock


Leland "Lee" Biastock, age 74, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Lee, son of Wesley and Winifred (Brown) Biastock was born May 25, 1941 in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated high school in Waukegan and was then drafted into the United States Air Force. Lee served as a gunner in a B-52 bomber in Guam during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. On Sept. 14, 1968 he was united in marriage to Judy Connell. He started his working career with Common Wealth Edison, working in various positions for almost 30 years until his retirement as substation superintendent. Lee collected trains and was known as father time' for his punctuality.He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Dawn (Kevin) Carson, Michael (Wendy) Biastock, Lisa (James) Bassett, Amy (David) Schultz; 7 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; as well as other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis.A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016 at Harvard Bible Church in Harvard, Illinois with Pastor Darrell Bendorf officiating. The family will receive guests following the service at the church. The Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave., Baraboo, WI 53913 is assisting the family.
