Judie McCaffrey

Loving life and living it to the fullest is how we will always remember Judie (Ronnenberg) McCaffrey, age 71. From twirling her baton in the streets of Independence to the softball fields at Catch for a Cure in Baraboo, everyone had a smile when Judie was near. She passed away peacefully in Baraboo on Saturday, March 5, 2016.Her journey in life began in Winona, MN, December 9, 1944. For Edwin and Hazel (Selke) Ronnenberg she was the youngest of three children; older sister, Dianne (Robert) Hardtke of Winona, MN and brother Ronald Ronnenberg of Madison, WI. After graduating from Winona Senior High School in 1966, she married and moved to Independence WI where they raised their three children: Kelly (Bill) Bowden, Jeff and Jason (Diane). After working in Independence for many years and even owning her own business, "Mac's Pizza and More", Judie (also known as "Juda") turned in her apron and moved to Madison. After spending several years in Madison she decided to move to Baraboo WI to be near family and spend more time with her grand-daughters Sierra (15) and Bella (11) Bowden. She worked for many years at Menards in Baraboo and made many great friends during her time there. She especially enjoyed get-togethers with family and friends. Her boys moved to Duluth/Superior area and Jason & Diane blessed Judie with two more loving grandchildren, Jack (6) and Allison (4), which brought more joy and happiness to Judie's abundant life. Creating precious memories with her kids and grandkids was Judie's joy and specialty.Everywhere along her journey Judie made friendships along the way. Her contagious laugh and smile was well known, bringing joy and humor into everyone's lives. Her bubbly personality was endeared and will always be remembered. While Judie will be sorrowfully missed, we would like to invite all her friends and family to celebrate her wonderful life on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:30pm at St Paul's Lutheran Church at 727 8th Street in Baraboo, WI.
