Harold "Corky" Burgess, age 68 of Baraboo passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at home. Corky, son of William and Betty (Hirn) Burgess was born Jan. 3, 1948. On Feb. 19, 1977 he was united in marriage to Jill Nehring. Corky worked on various welding jobs, he was a horse farrier for 38 years and most recently worked as a crossing guard at Draper and 9th. He was a lover of horses, he enjoyed camping, watching John Wayne movies and shooting guns.Survivors include his wife, Jill; daughters Tami (Dale) Phillips and Jana (Tim) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Brandie, Michael and Kory; great-granddaughter, Alexis; brother, Daniel (Morieen) Burgess; as well as other relatives and friends and his beloved pets, Lady and Snow.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his great-grandson, Tanner.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2pm at Redlin Funeral Home with George Burgess officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
