Jacob M. Bachman, age 24 of Baraboo, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident.Jacob, son of Tod and Jennifer (Moffet) Bachman was born on Dec. 10, 1991 in Moline, Ill. He was a 2010 graduate of Baraboo High School. Jacob furthered his studies by attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout and graduating with a degree in Construction Management. During the summers of high school and college Jacob worked for the Baraboo High School maintenance department. He worked at Pizza Ranch in Baraboo for almost 10 years and would even come back when needed after moving to Mosinee to work for American Asphalt. He was a member of the 2008 state track team in the 4 x 400 relay. Jacob was an avid Packer fan and loved Ford trucks. In his free time he enjoyed hiking, disc golf, fishing, golf, and spending time outdoors. He will be remembered for being a great friend that would do anything for anybody.Survivors include, his parents Tod and Jeni Bachman; sister, Samantha Bachman all of Baraboo; paternal grandfather, Merlin (Donna) Bachman of Lee Center, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Marcia (Dave) Dengler of Rock Falls, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Patsy Moffet of East Moline, Ill.; aunts, Michelle (Maurice) Pratt of St. Paul, Minn., Kelly (Jerry) Rule of Freeport, Ill.; uncle, Chad (Courtney Reubin) Bachman of Seattle, Wash.; as well numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Moffet.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to be used towards a BHS memorial track scholarship.
