James L. Theisen


James L. "Jim" Theisen, age 81 of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at home. He was born on Oct. 12, 1934 in Roxbury. On Oct. 12, 1962 he was united in marriage to Mildred "Millie" K. Frey; together they spent 52 years in the home they built together in Baraboo.Jim was a master stone mason; his reputation was such that the City of Chicago sought him out to rebuild the Buckingham Fountain. He was a member of the Wisconsin Stone Masons Union. We will miss playing euchre with Jim and his grandchildren will miss dancing Polka with him. Jim stayed and cared for his wife in their home until her passing.Survivors include his grandson, Scott H. McKinney of Madison; granddaughter, Andrea (McKinney) Rodrigues-Pavao of Verona; daughter-in-law, Linda A. (McKinney) Carr of Fitchburg as well as three great-grandchildren, Bram K. McKinney of Madison, Katherine A. McKinney of Madison and Kiria T. Rodrigues-Pavao of Verona; sisters, Sally Culp of Madison and Shirley Reutter of Findley, Ohio as well as other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie on Sept. 17, 2014 and his son, Kenneth P. McKinney in 1999.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. Inurnment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Sauk City.
