Kathleen M. "Kathy" Cortese, age 67 of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Kathleen, daughter of Maynard and Arlene (Haskins) Snyder was born on Sept. 30, 1948 in Baraboo. On May 16, 1973 she was united in marriage to John Cortese. She was employed as a Secretary for the High School Guidance Department for over 25 years. In her free time she enjoyed reading, traveling and dining out as well as mini-golf and board games with her grandchildren.Survivors include her children, Adam and Heather Cortese and Mark Cortese; grandchildren, Justin and Garrett; as well as other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her brother, Mike Snyder.Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at New Life Advent Christian Church with Pastor Jesse Stevens officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Private inurnment will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
