Marjorie Rosemary Pickarts-Alvin-Radel, age 78 of Baraboo died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. Marjorie, daughter of Joseph and Lucille (Knipschield) Pickarts was born Feb. 19, 1938 in Baraboo. Marjorie attended St. Aloysius School in Sauk City; she worked as a homemaker her entire life, caring for her family. On Jan. 13, 1993 she was united in marriage to Donald D. Radel; he preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2013. In her free time she enjoyed fishing.Survivors include her children, Joseph (Kathy) Alvin of Rock Springs, Jeffrey Alvin, Sr. of Hillpoint, Lisa (Steve) Weldy of Wisconsin Dells, Lori Alvin of Baraboo; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Pickarts, Rodney (Karen) Pickarts, Shirley (Paul) Breunig and Melvin Pickarts as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold Pickarts; daughter, Linda Alvin; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Pickarts and Irene Radel.Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at Redlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
