Kathleen McNamer of Baraboo passed away on June 29, 2017 at the age of 97.Kathleen was born February 8, 1920 in Richland County, Wisconsin and was the daughter of Freeman and Blanche Montgomery. Kathleen married Joseph McNamer on May 2, 1940 at the Baptist minister's house in Waukon, IA. Joseph and Kathleen raised three children and were blessed with 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.Kathleen worked at the Badger Ordnance Works (B.O.W.) powder plant. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and making quilts.Kathleen is survived by her children, Frederick (Ruby) McNamer of North Freedom, Jeanette (James) Lynch of Baraboo and Gloria (Delbert) Thiede of Sun Prairie; six grandchildren, Becky Stewart, Baraboo, Kelly Small, TX, Kathleen McNamer, LaCrosse, Mathew Lynch, CA, Cindy Stanek, Sun Prairie, Mary Gilmore, Sun Prairie; nine great-grandchildren, Sydney Taylor, TX, Jonathan Taylor, TX, Aaron Taylor, TX, Mariah Stewart, Baraboo, Sarah Strohmenger, LaCrosse, Josh Strohmenger, Sun Prairie, Roxanne Stanek, Sun Prairie, Kiandra Gilmore, Sun Prairie, Janelle Lynch, CA, and Arianna Lynch, CA. In addition, Kathleen is survived by her sister, Verna Draves, Reedsburg.Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.Funeral Services for Kathleen McNamer will be held at Redlin Funeral Home on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ervine Vomhof officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
