Cecil Richard Miller


Cecil Richard Miller, age 71 of Baraboo passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Sauk Prairie Healthcare, surrounded by his loving family, due to complications from Diabetes. Cecil, son of Richard and Lillian (Bundy) Miller was born June 8, 1947 in Hillsboro. Cecil proudly served in the US Army from 1968-1971 until his honorable discharge. On July 26, 1969 he was united in marriage to Annabeth Rich. His family will remember him for being a hard worker and showed that by his work ethic. To provide for his family he worked first as a mechanic, then a welder and most recently as a rural letter carrier from which he retired from in 2009. Cecil was involved and active in labor unions during his time as a welder and letter carrier. Family was the center of his life, a big part of that was spending time riding ATVs and camping at 4M Heritage Acres. Cecil enjoyed projects involving repairing or fabricating, golfing, riding his Harley, and being involved in his local H.O.G. Chapter's MDA activities.Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Annabeth of Baraboo; children, Kelly Jo Miller of Madison, Christopher Miller of Baraboo; grandchildren, Sarah Schultz of Madison, Rebekkah Schultz of Minneapolis and Hannah Schultz of Sun Prairie; brothers, Stanley (Jean) Miller, Pastor Roger (Cathy) Miller; sister, Karen (Dr. Tom) Moe; nieces and nephews, Telly, Tracy (Sandra), and Kevin (Shannon) Miller, Elisabeth (Shane) Becker, Cynthia (Shanen) Swart and Eric Moe, as well as other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephews, Brian Moe and Jeffrey Miller.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at New Life Community Christian Advent Church with Rev. Jesse Stevens officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday at Forest Burr Cemetery on Highway 33 in Hillsboro where military rites will be conducted. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
